RSHO and RSHO-X Garner Global Headlines as Part of Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo in New York
Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC: MJNA) is pleased to announce today that its hemp oil products and CEO Dr. Stuart Titus were featured in global news coverage including TV interviews and news articles as part of coverage from the Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo (CWCBE), which was held at the Javits Center in New York City from June 16-17. Dr. Titus spoke at the CWCBE about how the world stands to benefit both nutritionally and therapeutically from the company’s Cannabidiol (CBD) products, including Real Scientific Hemp Oil™ ( RSHO™ ) and Real Scientific Hemp Oil-X™ ( RSHO-X™ ).
"We were the first publicly traded company in the medical marijuana and industrial hemp space in the United States," FOX 5 News quoted Titus as saying. “Based on Colorado's numbers, if marijuana was legalized throughout the U.S., we'd have a $120 billion business just based on recreational.”
ABC News also featured a lengthy report on Medical Marijuana, Inc. receiving the historic, first-ever import permits for cannabis products from federal health officials in Brazil, Mexico and Paraguay and photos from Getty Images also featured the Company’s HempVĀP® and RSHO-X™ .
“We’re impressed and humbled that respected members of the news media in New York are telling our Company’s story and covering the newest multibillion-dollar U.S. industry,” said Dr. Titus. “It’s an exciting time to be involved in the cannabis industry, and it’s our goal at conferences like these to educate audiences on the plethora of benefits that our products can bring to people around the world. The Company and our world-class team will continue to be pioneers and leaders blazing the trail for other successful entrepreneurs in the industry to follow.”
On June 9, 2016, Ohio became the 25th U.S. state to allow qualified patients access to medical cannabis for medicinal use, citing 21 qualifying medical indications (and if one includes Louisiana's limited law , this figure would be 26 states). Including U.S. territories Puerto Rico and Guam, as well as the District of Columbia, Ohio's milestone achievement translates to more than 50% of the U.S. with full-spectrum medical cannabis laws enacted. In addition, there are 16 U.S. states with limited medical cannabis access laws enacted, which brings the total of all U.S. states, districts or territories with some form of cannabis law to 43.
