First-Ever Cannabis Product Approved for Import Into Mexico, RSHO-X™, On Display as Mexico Families Advocate for Medical Cannabis in Mexico
Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC: MJNA) announced today that its subsidiary HempMeds® Mexico is sponsoring and exhibiting at the Aug. 12-14 ExpoWeed Conference, the first-ever cannabis conference to be held in Mexico.
In addition, on Aug. 14 at 10:15 a.m. HempMeds® Mexico’s new president Dion Markgraaff will be speaking at the ExpoWeed Conference, which is taking place at the International Exhibitions and Conference World Trade Center in Mexico City. Markgraaff will be joined by Mexico’s champion for cannabis reform Raul Elizalde, founder of the Por Grace Foundation, the leading association fighting to ensure families receive the right to health care and medical access to cannabidiol (CBD) hemp oil in Mexico.
The Elizalde family was the first in Mexico to sue the federal government and win the right to import CBD hemp oil to treat their daughter Grace’s severe form of epilepsy, which created the legal precedent for other Mexican families to import Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s Real Scientific Hemp Oil-X (RSHO-X™), including the Maldonado family. The Maldonados became one of the first two families in history to receive a permit from the Mexico government to import RSHO-X™ to treat their 11-year-old daughter Alina’s severe form of epilepsy. Alina’s father Abelardo Maldonado will also speak at the conference about how RSHO-X™ helped his daughter.
