Gothenburg, Sweden – Collector AB (publ) (Nasdaq Stockholm: COLL)

Collector Ventures continues to invest in new FinTech companies and is now investing in Kaching. The company develops mobile checkout solutions that combine e-commerce and sales in physical stores, and that primarily target major retail chains. The checkout solution is already used in all Digital Inn stores, a premium Apple retailer.

Kaching, which was originally hived off from mobile development company Dynamo, offers digital mobile payment solutions targeting major retail chains. The team consists of experienced senior developers with experience from, for example, Spotify, Skype, Truecaller and Klarna. In addition to founder and entrepre-neur Mathias Plank, the largest shareholders in Kaching are investment companies Creades, Richard Båge, Rustan Panday and Daniel Soussan who established Mediaplanet and Insplanet, among others, and was also involved in building up Storytel.

It’s high time to modernize the shopping experience – including in shops. We look forward with great pleasure to working with Kaching, transforming the customer experience and taking in-store payments into the future, increasing retailers’ sales and efficiency. This will make both customers and checkout staff happier,” says Liza Nyberg, CEO of Collector Bank.

Collector Ventures invests in new FinTech companies with a distinctive digital focus in which Collector Bank perceives technical and commercial benefit. To date, Collector Ventures has invested in approximately 20 FinTech companies, including Wint, Veckopengen, BetterWealth and Nordkap.
