When was it designed and why?

The rest of the country was still busy producing pine furniture but Dean pushed Pinetum off in a risky new direction. Con-tempo Furniture (http://www.con-tempofurniture.co.uk/) will be launching a stunning new children’s range called Freya Land in late January. The range starts in price from £135 and includes beds, bedsides, wardrobes and chests all specially designed for children. “This is an exciting new venture for us, something we have always wanted to do,” says Dean Robbins, designer and owner of Con-tempo Furniture. Dean was inspired to do children's furniture after his daughter Freya was born. She has helped design the logo and even got involved in selecting the colours for the range.

The Wiltshire-based furniture company was established in November 2009, selling products via their Warminster retail store.
