Priority Moments app flags offers consumers can redeem simply by showing sales staff the voucher on their handsets

Melbourne, AU; August 1, 2011 – O2, one of the UK’s leading communications providers, is teaming up with British fashion retailer French Connection to offer French Connection Bathroom guest amenity kits as part of a new loyalty rewards program for O2 customers.

The new scheme, called Priority Moments, represents a major extension of O2’s Priority loyalty program and allows O2’s 22 million customers with smart phones or Wap-enabled devices to access instant offers – including French Connection Bathroom, the exquisite, eco-friendly collection of hotel guestroom toiletries manufacturing by French Connection in partnership with Concept Amenities.

Using geo-location technology, the Priority Moments app flags offers which consumers can redeem simply by showing sales staff the voucher on the screen of their handsets.

“The key word here is priority. We designed the service to make life easier, cheaper and more enjoyable for our customers,” continued Sally Cowdry. “This is not a tactical programme of one-off deals – it’s about building a long-term, nationwide service that benefits both our customers and our partners. With Priority Moments we are bringing our customers exclusive, special offers and experiences from their favourite brands in a way that works for them. The combination of mobile, great offers and experiences by trusted companies with long term partnerships creates what we believe is a special service.”

The French Connection Bathroom range of indulgent and pampering body products includes shampoo; conditioner; hand and body wash; hand and body lotion in 30ml and 60ml sizes; bath soap in 30gm and 50gm sizes fragranced with a floral blend of grapefruit, jasmine and vetiver. The scent, developed exclusively by world-renown fragrance designer Jo Malone for French Connection back in the late 90’s, remains a true classic, creating a sense of serenity and purity from head to toe.

The collection also includes a dental kit; shave set; grooming kit and shower cap. A molded amenities tray; plush his and her slippers and a travel bag also compliment the line.

The ultra-modern packaging – featuring square clear bottles, embossed soaps, and accessories in white boxes with black text – is manufactured with a proprietary organic additive that renders plastic fully biodegradable in landfill conditions. This is an important attribute, considering 5.5 billion hotel toiletry bottles and caps are disposed in landfill every year.

The choice of French Connection Bathroom for O2’s Priority Moments program is consistent with the company’s commitment to sustainability. Working with environmental and socially aware organizations such as Carbon Trust, BITC, Forum for the Future and Global Action Plan, O2 is actively embedding sustainability into its products and services. In the last year, for example, the company has reduced paper point of sale material by 20% and added an additional 10% to its stores’ refit budgets.

“French Connection’s choice to partner with Concept Amenities was based on our shared corporate social responsibility policies,” explains Michael Matulick, managing director at Concept Amenities. “We both seek to collaborate with companies who provide ecological solutions that lessen our impact on the environment. We couldn’t be more pleased and excited that O2 has decided to offer French Connection Bathroom to its loyal customers.”
