In 2014, Coor became Equinor’s main provider of facility management services. The initial contract period was five years and runs until July 2019, with the possibility of an extension. Coor and Equinor have today agreed to extend the agreement with two years, until July 2021, with an option to extend it for a further three years. The agreement is estimated to be worth SEK 1 billion annually.

The extended agreement relates to the operations and maintenance of Equinor’s 500,000 m2 of offices and production facilities in Norway. Just over 500 of Coor’s staff work under the Equinor contract.

“There’s a great deal happening at Coor in Norway right now, in terms of acquisitions and extended customer contracts. The Equinor assignment is one of the largest IFM contracts in the Nordics, and the fact that Equinor has chosen to extend the agreement confirms our leading position in both Norway and the Nordics. We see continued business opportunities on the Norwegian market”, commented Mikael Stöhr, President and CEO at Coor.

“It’s been an exciting journey for us at Coor Norway from when we first won the Equinor contract in 2014. We have accumulated a great deal of expertise as a result of the collaboration, particularly within the domain of HSEQ. We value the confidence Equinor has shown us and look forward to further developing our service delivery over the coming years”, commented Nikolai Utheim, President at Coor in Norway.
