JAKE debuts “The NIGHT CIRCUS” Fall/Winter Collection, benefiting the San Francisco Community and the Arts by unveiling an Original Public Art Mural on JAKE’s Flagship Store

September 12, 2016 – JAKE, a San Francisco-based luxury fashion brand by Designer Jake of Project Runway, in collaboration with the Drever Family Foundation, announces “FASHION for a REASON” on September 15. JAKE will be debuting “The NIGHT CIRCUS” Fall/Winter Couture Collection in a celebration of the San Francisco Arts Community, including the unveiling of a hand-painted mural on the side of the JAKE Flagship store in Jackson Square. The celebratory evening will be followed by an experiential after-party at The Battery penthouse.

The Drever Family Foundation and JAKE partnered together for this event to bring together the art and fashion industries.  The Battery, Gastronomique en Vogue (GEV) Magazine, Jean-Charles Boisset Wines, Chopin Vodka, and Donald J. Pliner are the evening’s sponsors.

The Drever Family Foundation, benefiting Sharon and Kelly Stone’s Planet Hope, has made it possible to unveil a new city beautification mural on the JAKE Flagship building. An original piece by famed NY modern artist Ed Granger, whose recent collaborations include Hermès and San Francisco’s Hotel Zepellin, will bring his dimensional art aesthetic to the growing neighborhood.

“It’s just so very San Francisco that we don’t just have a runway show. That’s simply not enough for us. We need more. We deserve more,” says Wall. “We need meaning, and that’s why our response to New York Fashion Week layers in a celebration of the community and our shared creativity like only San Francisco can do.”

The event and evening is a progressive experience starting with a reception at the JAKE Atelier + Flagship Showroom with the mural unveiling and opening remarks from San Francisco City and County Representatives. The debut of JAKE’s “The NIGHT CIRCUS” Couture Collection, designed and completed in San Francisco, will follow. Guests will then be led to The Battery where the evening will continue with an after-party hosted by JAKE and The Battery, in conjunction with GEV Magazine. A live fashion photo shoot will be part of the after-party, giving guests an opportunity to experience the behind-the-scenes of the luxurious images that make us all fall in love with fashion.

“Fashion, art, and community are a natural trinity in my book”, says Galen Drever, of the Drever Family Foundation. “The Drever Family Foundation seeks out the most creative ways to benefit impact driven organizations like Planet HOPE, a philanthropy close to us, and we are excited to tie-in with such an innovative fashion brand like JAKE to take things to a new level.”
