Cybercom wins development contract with China Mobile (Sichuan) Wireless Music R&D Center
China Mobile (Sichuan) has chosen Cybercom for an important development project. The contract will be valid for 2010 and involves 10 - 12 consultants.
China Mobile is the biggest telecom operator in the world and has more than 500 million users. China Mobile Wireless Music R&D center is located in Chengdu, Sichuan. “We are excited to be part of such a strategic project for one of the world’s largest operators. China Mobile is a new customer to Cybercom and we see our cooperation as a brand acknowledgement for our expertise within the mobile media and device development area,” says Patrik Boman, president and CEO, Cybercom Group. The project will be placed in one of Cybercom’s China locations; Chengdu, Sichuan. Cybercom will be developing solutions to the customer, who has made extensive commitments to develop advanced media services for various mobile platforms. China Mobile is a member of the Open Handset Alliance, which is a business alliance to develop open standards for mobile devices. “We note that there is a rising demand from our customers regarding open source development in general and, for example, Android in particular,” says Mika Muukkonen, general manager for Cybercom’s operations in China. “Cybercom has an impressive track record of development for mobile platforms as well as mobile services.
