A new website is fulfilling the international demand for prestigious heritage British manufactured brands.

Click British is a new website is supporting British manufacturing by only featuring products which are 100% designed and produced in the UK. Click British is the first multi-language multicurrency online shop promoting home-grown products in the UK and across the world. The website is available in English, German and Mandarin Chinese, with other languages to follow in 2015 including French, Italian and Arabic.

The site already features well respected British brands such as Benson & Clegg, Marlborough World and Harold Pinchbeck Watches. Many of the companies have been established since the early 1900s and hold Royal Warrants, in the case of luxury cheese-maker Paxton & Whitfield Est. 1797. The intention of ClickBritish is to offer the finest British heritage and craftsmanship expected from premium products made in Britain.

There is a new trend recently for fashion and homeware brands to play on the “Britishness” of their products, as consumers often choose to pay more for British made products to support local jobs and the UK economy - rather than opt for the cheaper versions made abroad. However, very few companies ensure every single element of every item is made in Britain, and that’s what Click British has achieved. Each merchant on the site is based in the UK and carries out all design and manufacturing processes in Britain.

Director Gary Gilmour said, “The British government is aggressively pushing the manufacturing and exports of British products. Many studies and consumer data indicate that there is definitely an interest in British made products, and that the British public is very interested in the provenance of the goods that they source & buy. In recent years, producers have outsourced manufacturing to take advantage of cheap labour, but now consumers have realised the importance of supporting British brands and products. However, British products have a reputation of luxury around the world, so people living in other countries also try and buy premium British products when they can. That is why we have made Click British accessible, and have different languages on the website and to encourage people to buy internationally, too.”

He continues “We are at an early stage of the business, but we have been incredibly encouraged to have signed-up 35 merchants from around Great Britain, with intention to have 75 by the summer. We’d love to hear from companies who share the same vision as us and to show to the world that Great Britain still manufactures great products.”

Click British showcases the finest British talent and manufacturing, all in one place. Each product gives a feel of exclusivity and British class as they are not mass produced. From clothing, accessories and jewellery to photography and works of art, every single product on sale at Click British boasts roots in the 4 corners of Great Britain.
