Advertise Your Business While Changing the World with Lechawo
An utterly innovative new platform launches this week that seeks to address the global problem of extreme poverty. Delivered by Enceed Ltd, the ground breaking project aims to combat poverty around the world and help millions of children and women it affects through the power of advertising.
Established to change the world for the better, Lechawo is the first project from Enceed Ltd and will donate 100% of its profits to international charities Save the Children, Water Aid, UNICEF, Oxfam and Care. The website displays business advertisements for internet users to watch, and Lechawo.com receives a fee of approximately 5 cents for each play which will be invested in child welfare, education and microfinance etc. The founders expect to raise $450 million per year if just 1 out of 100 global web users watch one video six days a week.
Sameem Bawa, who recently left Aberdeen Asset Management Plc to found Lechawo says, “The annual sum required to bring about an end to extreme poverty is around $60 billion. Although this figure may seem immense, it can easily be raised if 1000 of the world’s largest companies donated just 1% of their annual profits. While some companies do make very generous donations, a great deal more is needed to make a significant impact.
“We have created an innovative website where simply by watching video advertisements, individuals across the globe can eradicate poverty. Lechawo –Let’s Change the World – is also a great resource for businesses wanting to promote their products. Consumers watching the ads will visit the site at a convenient time and give the video their full attention, rather than between television programmes – it’s a win-win situation.”
Currently seven million children around the world die needlessly every year, through circumstances which are directly linked to poverty. The number of children out of school due of extreme poverty is around 70 million, and without education they are not likely to have a brighter future. The team at Enceed Ltd firmly believe the answer to this global problem is education, and have founded Lechawo.com to provide education and schooling to those in dire need around the world. With funds raised from the first year of Lechawo, the company hopes to provide education and healthcare for one million children and safe water for one million people. It also hopes to extend employment programmes for adolescents and an income/microfinance for poverty stricken families.
Businesses can place orders through online Advertising Networks such as Yashi and Google Adsense, to take advantage of this incredible marketing opportunity with a difference. From the internet’s three billion users, Lechawo hopes to entice at least one in every hundred, which should account for $450 million per year. If the website goes even further and gets one in 10 global web users on board, it could raise an astonishing $4.5 billion annually.
Sameem further added, “Watching a video is something simple that everyone can do in the comfort of their own homes. With lechawo.com, people can literally change the world from their computer screens, while simultaneously connecting with products and services they might need. And also Android and iPhone mobile apps will be released soon”
