ANGES DE SUCRE Kensington Patisserie Launches the Daddy of ALL Cakes- The all-new DOUGHNUT-CAKE range

Anges de Sucre ( or ‘sugar angels’, a patisserie paradise on Holland Street, in the heart of Kensington, is rebelling against kale and quinoa by launching an original range of playful, fun and sinfully delicious cakes.

Already hailed as Bold, Beautiful and totally Bonkers, these doughnut-cakes are worth breaking a 100 diets for. Here’s why:

1)    The Secret Signature Frosting - Anges de Sucre uses their own signature recipe of Swiss Meringue Buttercream despite it being much more labour-intensive and time-consuming. It’s made with a lot less sugar than ordinary icing-sugar frosting, contains 100% real dairy butter and natural authentic flavours for an unbelievably smooth, silky and light icing.

2)    Genuine Belgian chocolate glazed baked buttermilk doughnuts – with a smooth ganache glaze, Anges de Sucre baked buttermilk doughnuts and cakes look and taste distinctively decadent.

3)    Off-the-Charts, OTT and totally mad – the cheeky cherubs at Anges de Sucre have given the layer cake a massive make-over in imaginative and playful taste and texture combinations, without the need for any twee gimmicks.

Anges de Sucre’s Bonkers Doughnut-Cakes, described as ‘Willy Wonka meets Alice in Wonderland’, come in three delicious inaugural flavours:

The Homer Simpson Cake

Vanilla sponge layers, smooth and silky vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream, Belgian chocolate glaze, topped with toffee popcorn, pink wafer crunchy bits, macarons and baked buttermilk doughnuts - if Homer Simpson were to have a cake this would be it

Doughnut-Cookie-Monster Cake

Chocolate sponge, smooth and silky Oreo Swiss Meringue Buttercream, heaps of Oreo cookie crumble, Cookies & Cream chocolate bar shards and baked buttermilk doughnuts

Pretzel-a-Palooza Cake

Chocolate and vanilla sponge, vanilla Swiss Meringue buttercream, Belgian chocolate glaze, pretzels-a-plenty, baked buttermilk doughnuts and a good measure of sprinkles for fun

Anges de Sucre’s founder, Reshmi Bennett, says, “Instead of popping out the same-old that’s already available everywhere we had some real fun in the kitchen whipping up these crazy cakes! They really are as fun to make as they look and are already going down a storm!”.

Released in time for the wedding season, The Doughnut-Cakes are sure to make a unique statement wedding cake for young-at-heart couples or as the perfect party cake for birthdays and social events.

Cake prices start from £39.
