Attractive investment prospect Licklist achieves 20% of crowdfund target in 24 hours
Just 24 hours after launching a crowdfunding opportunity on platform Seedrs Licklist secured 20% of its overall target, proving it an attractive investment prospect. The social media company aims to raise £150,000 through its Seedrs offering after achieving a pre-money valuation of £1.25 million.
Licklist is an innovative social platform aimed at helping nightclubs and other venues reach a wider audience. The emergence of social media means that traditional marketing methods, such as Facebook and promotional teams, are increasingly being viewed as ineffective. Licklist aims to provide those in the industry with a way to directly engage with their target audience.
With an already successful business model in place, the platform now plans to scale its model to incorporate more venues across the UK and move into mainland Europe. In the company’s five year plan it sets out a goal of reaching 25 million users and becoming the go to destination for nightlife across the world.

In the two years since launching, Licklist has gained 180,000 registered users and achieved an annualised revenue of over £340,000 through a range of service offerings and building relationships with some of the biggest names in the industry. Last year the company began its expansion into top tourist destinations for the social platform’s demographic, including Ibiza, Magaluf, Ayia Napa and Zante.
Licklist already has a strong team in place, with a board of non-executive directors who have previously worked at the likes of Google, Facebook, Timeout, Qype and Vodafone. With the expertise in place the company aims to become a global name.
