Bermotech Opens Up Spaces for Summer Coding Courses and Camps

London’s leading tech training and solutions company is currently accepting enrolments for its upcoming curriculum of coding oriented courses and summer camps for kids. Educational, inspiring and fundamentally fun, Bermotech offers a variety of options for coding enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

The course curriculum is divided into three age based categories for six to eight year olds, nine to 12 years olds and 13-17 year olds. This allows teachers to tailor the content and structure of each course to suit the abilities and interests of students. Classes are capped at a maximum of eight students to ensure every attendee receives ample attention. All lessons are taught by Bermotech founder, computing guru and passionate teaching extraordinaire, Narges Berry.

“I’m passionate about both technology and teaching which is what led me to establish Bermotech and its range of coding courses for kids. As well as offering youngsters insight into the fascinating world of apps, computer science and coding the child friendly curriculum also arms kids with marketable skills that are guaranteed to give them an edge in the highly competitive world of contemporary employment,” says Berry.

For children, Bermotech courses and camps focus on three key areas. iOS Application Development will inspire kids to take charge of their smartphones and build their own awesome apps. Website Design and Development training encourages little ones to try their hand at fashioning fully functional websites while creative kids will love the chance to build and programme their own interactive Lego-bots in the  Robotics with LEGO Windstorms EV3 course.

Teenagers are spoilt for choice with a handful of courses and camps designed to build valuable career skills. Both the Java and Python Programming courses are structured around the fundamentals of the Computer Science GCSE curriculum which makes them both educational and career oriented. Android Application Development training taps into the huge market potential of one of the world’s leading operating systems while Electronics with Arduino teaches the fundamentals of mastering what’s regarded as one of the most innovative open-source electronics platforms on the planet.

Technology sits at the heart of the contemporary economy yet despite its importance the European Commission (EC) has warned that the continent could face a serious coding skills shortage by 2020. For parents wanting to arm their kids with ironclad career prospects a summer coding course or camp is a fun and practical investment. Globally, software development has been pegged as one of the top five most in-demand jobs on the planet. Furthermore, the UK Council of Professors and Heads of Computing has predicted that the demand for IT professionals will increase by up to 15% by 2020. High profile corporations such as Laterooms and The Train Line agree, maintaining that there are already signs of a coding skills shortage.

Educational institutions wanting to overcome the shortage of skilled IT teachers are invited to inquire about the Coding for Schools programs. Bermotech offers a myriad of teacher training and supplemental courses developed to get both students and educators up-to-the-minute. These include training for computer teachers looking to brush up on tech skills, as well as after school clubs and workshops designed to complement existing computer science curriculums.

A handful of apps developed by previous iOS App Development camp students have been submitted to the Apple store and are now available for download. The opportunity to develop utterly unique ‘native’ apps is what sets Bermotech apart from the crowd and cements its status as London’s leading child-friendly app development training provider.

All children are welcome at the Bermotech and will love the opportunity to learn more about next generation technology, develop practical coding experience and bring their own unique ideas to life. All while having a ball, making new friends and learning to work as part of a team.

Coding courses and camps run throughout the half-term and summer holidays. Dates and times are published on the Bermotech website.
