Everyday Entrepreneurs on The Rise Confirms Leaflet Printers, CardsMadeEasy
Leaflet printing service, CardsMadeEasy has confirmed a slew of new reports from The Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD), cosmetics firm, Avon and Forbes magazine. All three have declared that so-called ‘Everyday Entrepreneurs’ are on the rise following a marked increase in the number of self-employed businesswomen entering the labour market this year. After witnessing a surge in orders from start-ups around the UK, the leaflet printing service also believes that more entrepreneurs than ever before are biting the bullet and setting up shop.
Neil Forrest from CardsMadeEasy said, “Over the last 18 months we have seen a marked increase in orders placed by SMEs for flyer printing and leaflet printing. There are so many small businesses springing up that we estimate we have printed more business cards and leaflets for start-ups, freelancers, dog walkers, mobile hairdressers, pet psychologists etc than anyone else.”
Figures from the CIPD estimate that there are 271,000 more women aged 50 to 64 active in the labour market today than at the start of the recession in 2007. In a study carried out this month by leading academic, Professor Julie Logan of Cass Business School on behalf of Avon, the figures are also positive with 68% of female-led business start ups helmed by ‘everyday entrepreneurs’ with no previous business ambitions.
With four in ten of these new enterprises requiring no start up investment and 64% of such businesses being home based, budget-friendly marketing solutions are critical. Almost half of the women surveyed by Professor Logan confirmed that they were the household’s main bread winner, with 84% expecting their business to stay the same size or grow over the next three years. Helping this new batch of business leaders to meet their business goals while maximising the small marketing budgets common to home-based start ups operating without investment capital, CardsMadeEasy offers a range of flexible leaflet printing solutions.
“Opting for online leaflet printing is a quick and easy way to keep costs down,” Mr Forrest added. “We offer free design help or give the client the freedom to upload their own artwork if they have decided to spend money on graphic design before coming to us. We offer bundles of printed flyers from £16.99 and full colour printed leaflets from £19.99. This makes for a very cheap, very quick marketing campaign and an easy way for new businesses to start promoting their products or services without investing heavily in materials.”
