Keep Kids and Teens Entertained Throughout Holidays with Studio Film School
The summer holidays are on the horizon and with them comes the promise of restless kids on the search for something to do. The Summer Film Shoot programme from Studio Film School is the perfect solution, offering kids and teens in the capital the chance to devise, direct, shoot, crew, edit and star in their very own summer blockbusters.
Each programme runs for a full five days, and sees students learn the ins and outs of filmmaking. For working parents wanting to keep the kids entertained and stimulated throughout the holidays a place in a Summer Film Shoot programme is just the ticket.
Dan Farrell, Director said, “The summer holidays are a fantastic time of the year. However for parents, it can be stressful trying to keep the kids amused for weeks on end. Our Summer Film Shoot programmes are designed to inspire, entertain, teach new skills, foster new friendships and of course, give parents a chance to offload the little ones with the total peace of mind that they’ll spend the day having bucket loads of fun in a fully supervised environment.”
Summer Film Shoot crews are divided into peer based age groups ranging from 7-18. Classes are capped at 16 which means every student receives ample time and attention from their teachers. Filmmaking workshops are great for indulging kids that love to lap up the spotlight and encouraging those who are a little more introverted. Throughout the programme kids will explore the art of filmmaking, boost self-confidence, make friends, find new passions and gain a real sense of achievement.
After budding filmmakers have put the finishing touches on their masterpieces they have the chance to showcase flicks to family and friends. The Red Carpet Premiere is the culmination of five days of fun and is thrown to make every participant feel like a VIP. The gala cinema event shows all shorts on the silver screen, with tickets to the exciting event included in the registration price. All students will also be awarded with a DVD so they can watch their creations time and time again, as well as show them off to others.
Workshop dates run from Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm which makes them ideal for parents wanting to palm off kids during working hours. Free drop off is also available at 9am for mums and dads that need to get to the office early. Classes are run at the Balham, Hampstead and Highgate centres, with dates differing depending on the location.
Workshops tend to fill up fast and Studio Film School is urging parents to book as early as possible to secure a place. To reserve a spot in advance or to join the waiting list, call: 020 71019329 or email: email@example.com
