Leading Construction Company Blossoms With Garden Centre Modernisation
Evora Construction, one of the best established construction companies in Yorkshire, is due to undertake one of its biggest refurbishment projects to date. Set to transform Dean’s Garden Centre in York, the company will draw on their extensive experience undertaking refurbishments and refits in order to bring the Garden Centre and its facilities bang into the 21stcentury.
Undertaking the £1 million plus project, Evora will transform the building which will encompass a combination of masonry, steelwork and glulam timber structures, complete with a specialist zinc roof covering and aluminium windows and doors in order to make it light, bright and modern.
Mark Reynolds, from Evora Construction, said, “The Garden Centre is a hub of the community, so we feel extremely privileged to be the ones making a mark in the history of the Centre. Loved by both locals and occasional visitors, we will completely transform the Centre and offer something completely new for its loyal customers, while maintaining its traditional atmosphere and values that makes it so successful.”
As a full-service construction company specialising in high quality construction services across every stage of a property’s life-cycle, Evora is committed to meeting the needs of all their individual clients. Bringing a plethora of expertise, the company has a wealth of experience in new builds, shop fitting, refits and refurbishment and maintenance for a wide range of sectors. Set for completion in March 2017, the refurbishment and extension is the third phase of a long term plan of development for the Centre.
The refurbishment and extension of the centre brings forward a new focal point, with the creation of a state-of-the-art coffee shop and kitchen facility, as well as a total remodelling of the toilet and back of house facilities in order to increase the capacity and meet demand.
The project is designed and project managed by York architects Walker Nicholas architects, supported by WT Partnership cost consultants, Dossor MCA structural engineers, Preston Barber services consultants and Eurosafe safety consultants, all local Yorkshire businesses.
Opening in 1968, Dean’s Garden Centre has been serving local gardeners for more than 47 years. A family-run business, the Centre is a favourite of the local community attracting green fingered gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts both young and old. Speaking about the project Richard Dean from Dean’s Garden Centre, said, “We are really looking forward to the refurbishment. It’s somewhat long-due, but we know that this refurbishment will future-proof the Centre and leave it looking and feeling fresh for years to come. We chose Evora due to their history of providing a fantastic service to businesses in this area. We have seen first-hand their dedication and attention to detail, so knew that they were the right choice for us when it came to turning our vision into reality.”
The project has been carefully planned out in order to minimise disruption to customers. Remaining open throughout the entire refurbishment, the Garden Centre will continue to offer the same excellent service to its customers.
