Leading Fabric Supplier Gets Celebrity Thumbs-Up After Garnering Hit After Fashion Hit
One of Europe’s leading suppliers of stretch fabrics for sportswear, dancewear, swimwear and even fashion purposes has been given the celebrity thumbs-up, with a long list of famous fans who love and wear their fabrics. FunkiFabrics is based in Manchester, and is devoted to providing stretch fabrics of unrivalled quality; whilst initially their products were intended for eye-catching dancewear and other sports disciplines such as gymnastics and swimming, the eagle-eyed fashion pack have picked up on the stunning fabrics and are putting in their orders to dress their celebrity clients.
David Kaitiff, managing director of FunkiFabrics, says, “We initially started out providing high-quality stretch dancewear fabrics in a number of innovative designs thanks to our talented designers. We are thrilled that the fashion crowd have picked up on our exciting stretch fabrics. Not only have we have seen them used to create outfits for Jessie J, Kim Lomas and a host of TOWIE stars, we have also had them picked up by a range of high street fashion retailers to create bespoke swimming, leggings and dresses.”
Pop icon Jessie J is among the most famous of names to be seen in FunkiFabrics’ designs; her love of cat-suits and body-suits will go down in pop culture history, especially the pink leopard print number she wore, which was created by material supplied by FunkiFabrics themselves. The skin-tight ensemble was her outfit of choice for the Elle Women in Music Awards 2012, which also hosted big named like Nicole Scherzinger, Ellie Goulding and Lana Del Rey. The outfit garnered rave reviews on numerous fashion blogs and will go down as yet another fashion hit for Jessie J.
Coronation Street and ex-Hearsay star Kim Lomas also chose to wear a creation made from FunkiFabrics’ materials; though she didn’t choose to replicate the pink leopard print look that Jessie J opted for. Her elegant and chic black crepe dress swept the floor and was highlighted with a diamante collar. She wore the dress for the National Television Awards 2013, exposing it to millions across the country and showcasing exactly what FunkiFabrics can do.
It turns out that the National Television Awards were a great night for FunkiFabrics, as one of their dramatic lace designs was also used to create a stunning star gown. TOWIE star Billie Faiers cast off her Essex roots and went grown-up glam for the night in a gorgeous lace number that made her appear old-Hollywood through and through. The stretchy, tight portion at the top was a great example of the figure-skimming material that FunkiFabrics can provide, and Billie carried it off to rave reviews from the fashion press at the time.
