Let Britain Director Wins Prestigious ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at First Ever British Bangladeshi Business Awards
Fareed Nabir, Director of online letting agency Let Britain, has been named as the first ever Entrepreneur of the Year at the British Bangladeshi Business Awards, which recently took place in Birmingham. The UK’s first edition of these awards took place on 11th March 2015 and was an unprecedented hit, with Prime Minister David Cameron in attendance and dozens of Brits with Bangladeshi heritage honoured for their role in boosting British business.
Mr Nabir was honoured for his part in founding local London restaurant, Laksha Bay, as well as the ground-breaking virtual letting agency, Let Britain. Let Britain is one of many online businesses changing the face of the current rental market by putting the power in the hands of tenants and landlords, rather than estate agents. Instead of heading to a local estate agency and relying on them to find properties or tenants, those looking to lease or rent a property can now go online to websites like Let Britain and handle the issue themselves. This service helps both landlords and tenants to save money, while still enjoying a high-quality service that meets all demands.
It was this business which Mr Nabir was honoured for at the awards ceremony. Mr Nabir has been named the foremost British Bangladeshi Entrepreneur for his work over the last twelve months, and he has big ambitions for the years to comine.
Mr Nabir says, “I’m thrilled to be the first recipient of this incredible honour. Being an entrepreneur is not something you learn, it’s something you naturally are – and it’s a very difficult job at times. Balancing multiple businesses and keeping your finger on the pulse of the current business trends is tough. But with Let Britain I feel I have created a service that is revolutionary in its market, putting the power back into the hands of the people using the service.”
He adds, “It was a real privilege to attend the ceremony among my peers in business, and an even bigger privilege to be given this wonderful award. I will continue to push for success in the future, broadening my entrepreneurial horizons and launching new ventures.”
The rental market is currently in a state of transition, with many businesses trying to deal with the migration from High Street estate agencies to digital platforms like Let Britain. Mr Nabir will continue to develop Let Britain, with ambitions for it to become one of the country’s premier virtual letting agencies.
