Mary Queen of Shops Gives Royal Seal of Approval to Beulah-Home
A boutique knitted homewares brand has received the royal seal of approval from London's leading retail marketing consultant come BBC2 presenter, Mary Portas. Late last year, the retail powerhouse gave Beulah-Home a special mention on her personal Twitter account, praising the boutique for its beautiful British made wares.
“New kid on the block Simone Harris making great British stuff… beulah-home.com” tweets Portas from her personal Twitter account.
Seen by 246 thousand followers, the tweet created quite the buzz around the brand’s latest collection of handcrafted homewares. Tweeted live from London’s ultra-chic Camden Town, the post reflects the boutique’s inherent appeal to the crème de la crème of British decorators. Blending the charm of traditional knitting techniques with an eye for up-to-the-minute design trends, Beulah-Home creations are a must have addition to any interior.
Simone Harris, owner and creator at Beulah-Home said, “We’re always thrilled to receive media attention but to be given the royal seal of approval from Mary Portas herself is breath-taking. She’s one of retail’s biggest critics and to have our collection doted on by such a high status name is an absolute honour.”
Beulah-Home was quick to respond to the mention, promptly thanking Portas for her interest and asking her is she had a favourite product. While she admitted to falling head over heels for the entire collection, it was the simple yet stylish Bryoine Purple throw Rug that really stole her heart.
“@Beulahome They are all divine but I adore the purple throw. Good luck with it all” tweets Portas for the second time.
Winning the crown of Best Feature at the British Academy Television Awards, Mary Queen of Shops sees the fierce high street campaigner turn struggling boutiques into thriving businesses. In light of her international success, British Prime Minister David Cameron commissioned her to lead a review into the future of Britain's high streets.
Since stealing the spotlight on Portas’ Twitter account, Beulah-Home has received an influx of orders from style savvy home decorators wanting to get their hands on the brand’s stunning knitted creations. The collection features a range of items, all handcrafted by the in-house team of artisans using the finest quality materials. From cushions, throws and rugs to pouffes, lampshades and hot water bottles, Beulah-Home is reimagining knitted homeware as chic and stylish interior accessories.
While the tweet caused a flurry of excitement in the Beulah-Home studio, Mary Portas is not the only high profile name to have made some noise about the brand’s on-trend collection. The handcrafted knitwear collection has also been featured in Grand Designs and Vogue magazines.
