National Wedding Show Celebrates 21% Visitor Increase Ahead of Wedding Season

This month Ocean Media announced the National Wedding Show ended its spring season triumphantly, with a 21% increase in visitor numbers since spring 2014. The bridal extravaganzas featuring over 600 exhibitors visited Manchester, Birmingham and London across eight days and drew in crowds in their thousands. Exhibition experts at Printdesigns are encouraging wedding suppliers to take advantage of this boom in attendance and sign up for more events in the run up to the busy wedding season.

Printdesigns Co-Founder Mark Thompson said, “This is quite a significant increase in 12 months, so it’s a great opportunity for suppliers in the wedding industry to take advantage of this surge in interest and build momentum ahead of the wedding season. With smaller numbers of visitors it can also be easier to strike a conversation with potential customers and build rapport with them.

Mr Thompson explains, “Large and small events both have their advantages – while huge events such as The National Wedding Show guarantees a phenomenal attendance, places there are often out of budget for small businesses. But other wedding fairs can be just as effective in securing clients as you have less competition and more chance of greeting every visitor to your stand.
