New Weekend Services to Spain Could Bring On Weekend Rush

British Airways have recently announced that new weekend Heathrow to Ibiza flight services are going to come into play as from April 27th of this year. With the potential to grab a weekend away in the party capital of the Mediterranean, holiday goers can leave mid morning on Saturday and return back to home base by 12:45 pm on Sunday. Meaning that no time needs to be taken off work, this affordable weekend jaunt is likely to see full flights. A perfect opportunity for hen and stag parties or anyone looking for a short respite in warmer climes, Heathrow is now more likely than ever to feel the affects of increased traffic and sourcing suitable Heathrow parking is going to be increasingly difficult.

For those working on the sun filled party island, BA is also offering a DJ friendly flight service where record bags of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm with no weight limit can be hand carried onto the plane along with either a handbag or laptop bag. With an additional and very generous allowance of 23kg for checked-in bags, BA is set to rival the policies and procedures of budget air service providers such as EasyJet and RyanAir.

A popular destination for Britons of all ages but a particular favorite amongst those in their 20s, Ibiza is a buzzing hot spot for those wanting to travel abroad with the hope of finding summer season work and clubbers on the search for cheap booze and a great party vibe along with plenty of sun, sea and sand. Not everyone going to Ibiza however will be planning to be up all night partying, a luring invitation for young couples or group of friends simply wanting to grab some quality weekend time away and lie on a beach, Ibiza is more than just a handful of bars, restaurants and crowded clubs.

If Ibiza is not on the hit-list of must sees for all those hoping for a weekend in the sun, BA are also offering a handful of new flight services to other popular destinations around Spain. With a new Heathrow to Palma service starting March 31st and a range of new flights to Spain from Gatwick, holidaymakers will have plenty of weekend escapes to choose from.

Pat McLintock, Managing Director of Value Individual Parking comments, “these new services are going to be a popular but the increased weekend demand is going to make finding good value, convenient parking even harder. Our value-for-money meet and great Heathrow parking option, offers fantastic value for our quality parking service- perfect for those wanting to leave their car over a weekend. It will be cheaper for people to car pool than to go by public transport and as long as there is a designated driver who is fit to drive home, our Heathrow parking option allows passengers a timely return.” He continues, “having the car brought to them outside the terminal upon return is ideal for travelers wanting to make a speedy return journey to unpack and get ready for work on Monday”.
