Retro Clasico Launches Luxury Range of 100% Merino Wool Football Scarves
Stand aside, half-and-half scarves. Move over, produced match-day memorabilia. Retro Clasico has launched its own range of 100% merino wool luxury scarves, for fans who want to make a statement and pledge their club allegiances in true style.
The luxury accessories are made from the finest wool available, and have been created as an antidote to the cheap, synthetic scarves served up in club shops and on stadium approaches all over the country. These premium football scarves are comfortable, stylish and like a fan’s enduring support, they’re made to last.
Matthew Kay, owner of Retro Clasico, says, “From using them as goalposts during school kick-abouts to holding them aloft at the start of a game to show support for your team, football and team scarves have been inextricably linked for as long as many of us can remember.”
Matthew adds, “We wanted to set about creating a selection of team scarves that were a cut above the synthetic offerings from official merchandisers. Our luxury scarves are made from 100% merino wool sourced directly from Nepal, with each one milled and woven to our exact specifications. Available in a multitude of colour schemes to match most teams in the Football League, scarves from Retro Clasico make an ideal gift for a loved one or a savvy investment that will see devoted fans through many seasons to come.”
Retro Clasico currently stocks scarves in the colours of all the Premier League’s biggest hitters – Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and, of course, recent title-winners Leicester City. The collection goes all the way down to League 2, with scarves for fans of Accrington Stanley, Crawley Town and Exeter City.
The scarves come with no branding or badges, making them discreet enough to wear on non-matchdays, subtly showing loyalty to any club without the need for tacky logos. Retro Clasico also packages each scarf in a beautiful black presentation box – so those who are receiving them as a gift can treasure them when not in use.
As the domestic season winds down and the Euros and Olympics move ever closer, Retro Clasico will be spending the summer adding a number of new colour schemes and scarves to the site, working towards offering scarves for the full 92 Football League clubs. There’s also an option for fans to purchase bespoke scarves from Retro Clasico, if they can’t find their club’s own colourway.
