Stateside opening for UK-based SIA supplier

One of the UK’s leading providers of Social Impact Analytics is pleased to announce their stateside office is now fully open and celebrating its one year anniversary after a soft launch in 2015. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the Get the Data LLC team aims to build on the positive work undertaken since the company’s inception in the UK four years ago and echo that work right across America. Since its American launch last summer, GtD is providing evidence and insight to support the ambitious agenda of juvenile justice system that is sweeping the US.

The Atlanta office is headed by Alan Mackie who has over 20 years’ experience delivering social research and policy evaluation within the juvenile justice field. With his London based colleague, Jack Cattell, Alan has been pioneering the use of Social Impact Analysis to monitor, analyze and manage resources, and provide definitive evidence of what is effective and make a compelling case for funding and commissioning. Get the Data argue that SIAs are an imperative part of the policy and planning processes in the juvenile justice system and provide policy makers, commissioners and practitioners with definitive evidence of “what works” in reducing crime and reoffending.

Alan Mackie, co-founder and director of Get the Data said, “Juvenile justice in the U.S. and U.K. is undergoing substantial reform, with policy makers and practitioners having to balance the demand to cut public spending with the need to reduce recidivism. I believe that Get the Data LLC has a major contribution to make in this area and am thrilled at the opportunity to offer GtD's unique approach to social impact analytics here in the U.S. Being based in London and Atlanta gives Get the Data a unique transatlantic perspective of determining the most cost-effective interventions that build safer communities on both sides of the pond.”

GtD was founded by Jack Cattell and Alan Mackie in 2012. Built on a detailed understanding of the information systems used in criminal justice, youth justice, health, and education, it was established to meet a growing demand from organizations to have regular information to manage their work. This demand has been given further impetus with a greater need to produce clear outcome data for funders and commissioners.
