Tickets Go On Sale For Sensation Jazz Cruise on the Thames
Londoners are getting ready to groove with the announcement that tickets for the Sensation Jazz Cruises - The Ultimate Floating Jazz Party on May 31st 2015 are now on sale. Held on-board the fabulous Dixie Queen, the all-inclusive three hour luxury river boat cruise is the ultimate floating jazz extravaganza. Attendees are invited to wrap their ears around some seriously smooth live jazz fusions from some of the world’s greatest smooth, contemporary & soulful jazz musicians.
The Jeff Lorber Fusion is headlining the event, a jazz soul funk band led by the legendary Jeff Lorber himself. The Grammy nominated keyboardist, composer and producer is renowned as “one of the founding fathers of fusion, a pioneer of smooth jazz” and Jeff Lorber has discovered some of today’s most electrifying young artists. Together the power trio blends elements of jazz, funk and R&B to create a distinctive sound sampled by the likes of world famous rap artist 'Lil Kim.
Fronting the support acts is the ultra-suave Sam Rucker, a rising star hip hop producer turned contemporary jazz saxophonist hailing from the USA. Jazz, soul and hip hop underpin his sound and propelled his latest record 'Before I let Go' to number two in the USA’s Smooth Jazz Most Added Billboard Charts. The appearance will be Rucker’s first performance on UK shores and is sure to go off with a bang.
Bringing a dash of classic pizazz to the event are local jazz sensations, the London Jazz Trio. With an upbeat inventory of jazz classics, smooth jazz and funky grooves, the high energy group knows just what it takes to get an audience dancing. There will also be music from sought after DJ Dave Marley aka "Morpher" playing non-stop soulful grooves from Jazz Soul Funk Radio.
The promoters of the jazz cruise said, “We’ve lined up some sensational world class acts this year and we’re incredibly excited to show them off to our ticketholders. So take a break from city life, let down your hair and sink your soul into a seriously good time on the Dixie Queen!”
For jazz lovers with a taste for extravagance event organisers are offering a range of excellent add-ons. For an additional charge attendees can upgrade their tickets to include a delicious two course meal with dessert, bar snacks, drinks and access to a fun photo booth to capture the memories.
With entertainment confirmed and final preparations well underway, Sensation Jazz Cruises organisers are inviting people to dance, dine and unwind for a day of smooth & soulful jazz they’ll never forget. The Dixie Queen is London's largest purpose built party boat. With its intimate party atmosphere, luxe décor and spectacular city views the luxurious replica Mississippi paddle steamer is the perfect venue for the upbeat yet elegant event.
Early bird tickets are on sale now for the price of just £55 per person.
5% of all ticket sales are donated to Kent MS Therapy Centre, a self-supporting charity aimed at improving quality of life for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
