UAVAir announces CAA approved drone training dates for Northern Ireland

Budding pilots in Northern Ireland will now have access to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved drone training as UAVAir announced its latest course location, adding to its growing list across the UK. The leading aerial experts will be bringing its Unmanned Aerial Qualification (UAQ) course to the Clandeboye Estate, Belfast Road, Bangor on the 26-28 November, 2016. Over three days, candidates are given fast-track but thorough drone training, covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the technology.  All successful applicants will receive a CAA approved drone license, enabling them to embark upon a drone piloting career.

The course from UAVAir is designed by commercial airline pilots and developed by leading drone operators. Using their extensive experience of working in both manned and unmanned aviation, the UAQ training enlists its candidates with the essential skills required to enter the professional drone pilot market. Those that pass the initial UAQ course are then invited to apply for a Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) licence, allowing them to legally fly a drone for commercial purposes.

John Gore, Operations Manager at UAVAir said, “After adding to our list of locations across the UK, we’re incredibly excited to now extend our offerings to Northern Ireland too. More businesses are starting to discover how a drone can lead to new opportunities. Yet in order to do this legally and safely, a drone licence is required.  With our fast-track training we hope to provide those interested in using the technology with the skills needed in order to explore these uses, leading to further innovations. ”

The range of industries now using drones in their daily operations is incredibly diverse, as is the growing number of start-up companies based around this unmanned aviation technology. With construction, photography, agriculture, engineering and more all utilising the benefits of UAV’s, a new career opening has naturally formed as demand for trained, skilled and qualified drone pilots continues to rise.

John Gore, Operations Manager added, “Any drone hobbyists looking for a change in occupation should seriously consider taking their pastime to new levels. In just three days you could possess the expertise and paperwork that is in high demand across a wide selection of sectors. It is our mission to use our extensive knowledge to train our candidates to the highest possible standard, preparing them for a long and rewarding career in aviation.”

UAVAir will be taking its training to Northern Ireland on 26-28thNovember 2016. The course will be held at: Clandeboye Estate, Belfast Rd, Bangor BT19 1RN
