UK's First Pay Per Viewing Estate Agent WeSold Shines on Dragon’s Den

The UK's first ever pay per view estate agent is turning up the heat this summer with significant expansion plans following an appearance on the BBC investment show, Dragon’s Den yesterday.

The brainchild of 24-year-old graduate and property entrepreneur, Tom Harrington, WeSold has revolutionised the real estate sector since its launch last summer. Its fresh approach to property sales gives vendors back control of their finances, saving thousands of pounds in commission by abolishing traditional fee structures and implementing a fee per viewing model instead.

WeSold markets the property on top property portals, offers expert support from experienced agents and secures viewings from interested parties. The vendor then pays a fixed fee when a viewing has been successfully completed.

With ambitious expansion plans on the table for the next four years, founder Tom Harrington signalled WeSold’s intent to step up its UK presence with an investment pitch to the Dragons – a team of four multi-millionaires listening to three minute pitches from some of the country’s most innovative business ideas.

Tom Harrington, Founder and managing director said, "Our Dragon’s Den pitch was the first in a series of investment projects we have planned for the forthcoming months. Having been operation for around 12 months now, we are ready to take the next step and have a series of development ideas which will push the WeSold brand forwards. In this round of investment we are speaking to a number of potential backers. Since we appeared on BBC Radio 4 last August we saw a large increase in property instructions. We are expecting a much larger number after showcasing our approach on Dragon’s Den over the weekend.”

WeSold’s pay per viewing model comes fully supported with an extensive package of services. The WeSold team has a network of agents in place around England and Wales handles the property marketing and listing process in full from beginning to end.

After signing up to WeSold, an agent will visit the property for sale, take professional photographs, write an attractive property listing, draw up a floor plan and produce an EPC if needed. When the property is ready to go on the market, it will be placed on each of the major property portals - including Zoopla, Rightmove and Primelocation.

WeSold charges a small fee when a viewing is secured and arranges a suitable time for the showing, liaising between the owner and the potential buyer to agree a date and time that suits both parties. The payment per viewing is only made when the viewing has actually taken place.

The service recently saved one client over £8000 in fees after selling their property in Beckenham, Kent for £560,000.
