White Rooms In Bruges Reveals Details of New Restoration Project

Belgian’s enchanting city of Bruges is set to be graced with yet another architectural masterpiece from celebrated interior designer Natalie Haegeman. As the creative vision behind two of the city’s most elegant guesthouses, Haegeman has now set her sights on meticulously restoring a brand new White Rooms project located in the UNESCO listed centre of Katelijnestraat.

Haegeman said, “Call me biased but Bruges is without a doubt one of the most mesmerising cities on the planet. It inspires me to no end and the new Katelijnestraat project is my way of capturing the ambience of Bruges and showcasing it through beautifully designed interiors that stir emotions, captivate the imagination and delight the senses.”

Hailing from the chic city of Antwerp, Haegeman is Belgian’s unrivalled interior design goddesses. With over 18 years of experience as a professional interior designer Haegeman knows what it takes to create breath-taking spaces that make an impact. Her talent has won her international recognition as well as an array of industry awards for hospitality developments and restoration projects. Founded in 1998, White Rooms is an extension of Haegeman’s lifelong love for contemporary art, old world architecture and rick Flemish culture. She has already worked her magic on two historic Bruges residences which now operate as high end guesthouses catering for travellers with a taste for the finer things in life.

Sympathetically restored to retain its original charm and character, Apartment Groeninghe is the perfect base for a luxurious getaway in the heart of Bruges.  With its authentic parquet floors, majestic open fire place and carefully curated décor the apartment is a superb space for discerning families, couples and groups of friends. Blending modern amenities with old world elegance, Apartment Dijver offers guests an insider Brugeoise experience. Every room oozes impeccable taste, from hand carved furniture and luxe textiles to plush seating and coffee table books. Both residences have received a glowing reception from both travellers and the interior design sphere.

The Katelijnestraat project will follow in their footsteps and offer Bruges holidaymakers yet another Haegeman work of art. The revamp kicked off with a site-wide strip of the building. True to her passion for character and ambience, Haegeman will be saving some of the most spectacular original features including glimpses of exposed brickwork, rustic ceiling beams and wooden floorboards.

While her previous two projects focussed exclusively on accommodation, Haegeman’s third project will combine her infatuations with interior designs and creating beautiful living spaces. Downstairs will house a unique interior design boutique while upstairs will feature two apartments decorated with Haegeman’s trademark flair.
