One of the most controversial discussions in Greenland is where to place a new airport to facilitate both domestic and international travelers. In this grandiose project BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group and Tegnestuen NUUK have created a giant new combined airport and port on an island just outside Nuuk to increase tourism and support the development of new trade routes northeast of Greenland.
