Photo Caption 31st August 2010 Global biker gathering visits the Scottish Highlands The Macdonald Aviemore Resort welcomed bikers from across the globe at the annual Thunder in the Glen event over the weekend of 27 – 29 August 2010. The event, which was officially organised by the Dunedin chapter of the Harley Davidson Club, attracted over 3500 bike owners, locals and holiday makers alike. George “Mad Dog” McGuire, from the Dunedin chapter, said: “We host the event every year at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort because of the fantastic service, helpful staff and beautiful location. I cannot praise the Resort highly enough for all that they do to make the event a success and the extra attention to detail that they provide as standard and we look forward to returning next year for more Thunder in the Glen at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort.” The event attracted Harley Davidson club members from all over the UK, Europe and from as far afield as Milwaukee in the USA. Over the weekend, members enjoyed a full range of activities including nightly rock concerts, a fireworks display, themed music nights, a special Harley Davidson fair and a one-off Harley Davidson fashion show which showcased the best of biker fashion.
