Purple Heart Homes Partners with Designing Spaces™ on Lifetime TV to help makeover the house of a wounded war vet and his family

(Pompano Beach, FL – CISION – May 28, 2013) Designing Spaces™ on Lifetime TV is pleased to partner with Purple Heart Homes in their new series “Designing Spaces of Hope - Project Homeward Bound” scheduled to air in late September 2013.

The 3-part series “Project Homeward Bound” will showcase a home makeover for a soldier who was wounded during a tour of the Middle East. The series will show step-by-step how this military family’s house becomes a more livable and healthier home. Purple Heart Homes will be instrumental in providing the home and helping with the makeover process.

Formed in 2008 by Dale Beatty and John Gallina, Purple Heart Homes is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide injured and disabled veterans with proper housing needs. Purple Heart Homes offers two programs to help veterans with those needs: Veterans Aging in Place Program, which assists elderly veterans and their caregivers, and Veteran Home Ownership. Both programs help wounded veterans reintegrate into their communities with peace of mind.

“We are proud to team up with an organization which cares so much for the brave men and women who fought for our country on our show. I’m positive that they will do wonders for the Taylor family’s home makeover,” says Lysa Liemer, Executive VP of Programming and Chief Operating Officer of Designing Spaces™ on Lifetime TV.
