Chief financial officer resigns

Det norske oljeselskap ASA CFO Teitur Poulsen ("DETNOR") has decided to
resign from his position. Vice President Investor Relations and
Corporate Development Knut Evensen has, as of today, been constituted as
CFO.

"Teitur has done a very good job for Det norske and we regret that he
has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities. Knut
Evensen has worked closely with the CFO and will ensure continuity in
this field for the company", CEO Erik Haugane said.
