New health and beauty products at Natural & Organic Products Europe 2014

A raft of new health, nutrition and beauty products are set to hit the market at Natural & Organic Products Europe 2014, as hundreds of new companies from around the world prepare to exhibit at Europe’s leading trade event for the natural and organic sectors.  Returning to London’s Olympia on 13-14 April, the show looks set for another record-breaking edition, with visitor pre-registrations already up over 30% on the same time last year.

To accommodate increasing demand from new companies looking to reach the show’s growing visitor-base (attendance was 8,810 in 2013, up 20% from 2012), organiser Diversified Communications UK has expanded its exhibition space by 11% for 2014 to fill the entire Grand Hall (its biggest growth since 2011).  Today, much of this has already been booked, with only eight stands now left to fill.

This strong exhibitor uptake paints an encouraging picture of growing market confidence; with many natural and organic companies finally looking to shake off the cloak of recession and increase their sales and brand awareness at the show.  New companies have been quick to reserve their first stands, and many returning exhibitors – such as ReNew Life UK, Potter's Herbals, Nordic Naturals, Higher Nature, Tiana Fair Trade Organics, Sukrin, Suma Wholefoods, and Supernutrients – have increased the size of theirs for 2014.  The result is that this year’s show – the 18th annual Natural & Organic Products Europe, is already being heralded as its biggest: with more products on offer than ever before.

New product innovations

One of the keys to Natural & Organic Products Europe’s continuing success is its focus on promoting innovation.  From new start-ups with compelling origin stories to well-established brand pioneers championing new formulations backed with clinical efficiency – the market is flourishing with a proliferation of new natural and organic products for retailers and, ultimately, their customers to choose from.  This is certainly reflected across the show floor for 2014, with hundreds of new launches making their debut at Olympia this April.

Natural Health & Nutrition

Over 26 countries, including Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Brazil, Canada, Russia, Sweden, the US, and the UK, are currently represented in the Natural Health & Nutrition and Natural Living areas of this year’s show.

New companies for 2014 include Florais Saint Germain (handmade flower essences); Patounis (pure olive soap); Frebbenholm Sverige AB (Nordic superfood supplements); Greencane Paper (sugarcane-based tissue products); Cotton Barons (eco bags); Silvanols (Latvian natural herbal products); Dr. Wolz Zell GmbH (dietary supplements); Zephorium (natural aromatherapy oils); Pharma Nord (dietary supplements and natural medicine for prevention); and the European Federation of Associations of Health food Manufacturers (EHPM), who’ll also be offering a clinic service on stand for suppliers looking to take their products into Europe.

It’s not just new companies that are filling up the shelves of this year’s New Products Showcase.  Always one of the show’s most visited features – the following is just a sample of some of the new innovations on offer from returning exhibitors:

  • BetterYou: BetterYou MultiVit Oral Spray
  • BioCare: AD Intensive; Perform Intensive; and Refresh Intensive
  • Potter's Herbals + Better Naturally: Potter's Joint Pain Relief; and Potter's Comfrey Ointment
  • G&G Vitamin Centre: Organic EssentialFood
  • Immitec UK: Immitec HQTD Omega-3
  • Natures Aid: Red Yeast Rice 600mg
  • Nordic Naturals: Complete Omega 369-D3, 8oz; and Artic CLO-Orange, 8oz.
  • Viridian Nutrition: Horseradish & Garlic Complex
  • Wren Laboratories: OptiBac - For Your Cholesterol

Natural Beauty & Spa

In addition to the show’s new Eco Luxe Beauty Pavilion, around half of this year’s Natural Beauty & Spa exhibitors are new companies looking to make a big impression with visiting retailers and buyers.  These include The Organic Pharmacy; UrbanVeda; FoM Cosmetics; multi-award winning British haircare range Ogario London; Aqua Oleum (co-founded by Julia Lawless, author of the Encyclopaedia of Essential Oils and the Complete Guide to Aromatherapy); organic-certified luxury skincare brand Yours Truly Organics; and FIT Skincare for Men.

International natural cosmetics suppliers include INIKA from Australia; Victor Philippe from Italy; and Adamence Cosmetics from France.  Whilst from the US, Andalou Naturals (whose entire range is Non-GMO Project verified), and premium beauty collagen specialists NeoCell and Nutrawise will be introducing their bestsellers to the UK.  Beauty brands from the Netherlands, Russia, Austria, Denmark, Spain, Turkey, South Africa, Germany, and Brazil will also be represented.

Returning Natural Beauty & Spa exhibitors looking to enjoy a repeat performance of last year’s packed aisles, have been busy preparing their own new launches for the show.  Here’s just a sample of what’s new from them:

  • Ayurveda Pura: All-Natural Wellbeing Survival Kit
  • Essence of Morocco: Organic Prickly Pear Seed Oil Serum
  • Gentle Beauty: Naturlamente Citrus Shampoo, FruitAcids Conditioner, Tonic Spray, and Hydrating Glaze
  • Aura-Soma: Aura-Soma Parfum
  • Natracare: Organic Makeup Removal Wipes
  • Wedderspoon Organic UK: Queen of the Hive Face Contour Mask
  • Barenaturals: Sustainably farmed Ocean Sponges and FlowerFarm Balms

Innovative, inspiring, buzzing, brilliant, and essential – these are just some of the words attendees used to describe the 2013 show.  To register for a free trade pass to Natural & Organic Products Europe 2014, please visit www.naturalproducts.co.uk (http://www.eventdata.co.uk/Visitor/NPE.aspx?TrackingCode=NPEPR) and quote priority code NPEPR.
