Driving Miss Daisy UK provides a caring, safe, friendly and reliable community companion driving service.Ideal for all kinds of occasions such as medical appointments, the hairdresser, meeting friends for coffee or taking a loved pet to the vet, our community companion service is also perfect for shopping trips, outings and parents requiring help delivering children to and from after-school activities. Special needs are catered for including assistance with a walker or wheelchair. The point of difference over other transportation providers is the physical accompaniment assistance offered. You can be collected from your door, be driven to your destination, provided with whatever help you may require, and taken safely home again. Phenomenally successful throughout New Zealand, owners Jack and Melanie Harper introduced Driving Miss Daisy into the UK in July 2014. As a community-based, franchise enterprise, Driving Miss Daisy offers opportunities for people to own and operate their own small business who, in turn, employ others. Franchisees are rewarded with a business which makes a significant contribution to the well-being of the elderly, disabled, their families and those who are unable to drive and wish to remain independent.
