Students and parents are welcome to come along to get a comprehensive overview of the extensive course list and opportunities the school has to offer, at its Open Evening on Thursday 21stJanuary 2016, from 6pm-9pm.

‘Creating your own future’ is the ethos that runs through the Post 16 programme at TRS, with plenty of choice for all students and over 30 courses on offer, including A-Levels and BTEC Diplomas. The reason to study at TRS go beyond this; the school offers a broad range of extra curricular activities ranging from mentoring programmes, to a Charlton Athletic football academy and various other educational trips.

Headteacher, Mr Paul Murphy, and Deputy Headteacher, Post 16, Mrs Charlotte Riddle, will be holding two talks during the evening at 6:15pm and 7:15pm; they will be discussing the exciting plans for students who study at TRS for the next two years. At TRS, students will not only be given the foundation needed to pass exams, but will build the skills needed to enter into the 21st Century world of work.

Deputy Headteacher, Post 16, Mrs Charlotte Riddle, explains: “Our Post 16 programme has been a huge success for past students providing a platform for students to go on to study at university or enter into the world of work. We’re really excited to welcome new students onto our courses, we look forward to seeing you there.”

Headteacher at The Ravensbourne School, Mr Paul Murphy, comments: “We’re extremely impressed with the students that have passed our Post 16 courses over the past years. We instil our ethos, ‘To be the best you can be’, in students as they undertake their sixth form experience and beyond. We strive to ensure all our students reach their full potential and this is achieved through the fantastic teaching we have throughout the school. The Open Evening is your opportunity to see just that.”

Applications will need to be in before Friday 12th February in order for the application process to begin. About E21C

Education for the 21stCentury was established in 2011 as a multi-Academy Trust. All the Directors have clear and long lasting commitment to the education of young people and they are prepared to operate effectively to the benefit of the Trust’s school, their students, their staff, their parents and the wider local education community within South East London.

At the heart of the Trust’s philosophy is the importance of the ‘whole child’ rather than just their academic achievement: results are important but the Trust also focuses on the soft skills which will help each student set up for their life beyond school.

We also believe that collaboration, partnership, professional growth though professional debates are best served when the participants are geographically close and taken from a wide variety of situations. For this reason, our aim is to work within the Borough of Bromley at both Primary and Secondary level not only to maintain Bromley’s reputation but also to enhance the area even further.
