Reference is made to the minutes from the extraordinary general meeting in
Eitzen Chemical ASA ("Eitzen Chemical" or "the Company") today;

The general meeting resolved to increase the Company's share capital and do a
reverse split of the Company's shares. These resolutions will be registered with

The prospectus for the listing of 371,937,500 new shares issued in the private
placement and the offering and listing of up to 91,293,750 new shares to be
issued in the Subsequent Offering has been reviewed and approved by the
Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway.
