Eitzen Maritime Services ASA - EMS initiates operational restructuring in Spain

Reference is made to the press release dated 18 June 2012 regarding the Company
update.

Eitzen Maritime Services ASA ("EMS" or the "Company") today initiated a
restructuring process of its subsidiary EMS Ship Supply (Spain) SAU, as part of
the planned profitability improvement roadmap.

The aim is to reduce complexity and cost in the operations in Spain. Some of the
existing branch offices will be downsized or closed, while nearby logistic hubs
will take over the responsibility to supply and maintain the level of service to
our customers. Central and administrative services will be reengineered, in
order to increase efficiencies and reduce costs. The initial step in the process
is to start discussions with affected employees in accordance with Spanish law.
