Electrosonic Announces Promotion of Rob Smith to General Manager of Service EMEA

London (January 22, 2013) – Electrosonic has announced the promotion of Rob Smith to General Manager of Service for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The appointment highlights Electrosonic’s commitment to its service business for users of high profile audio-visual systems.

As General Manager of Service, Rob will be responsible for all service activities, including service sales, managed services, service and maintenance and service administration for users of AV systems within the corporate, control rooms and leisure markets. He will work with the service team to promote and expand Electrosonic’s service offerings while maintaining the highest level of client satisfaction.

Rob joined Electrosonic in 2010 as Client Account Manager for the Cultural Entertainment and Leisure (CEL) team. He was quickly promoted to Sales Manager CEL where he spent the last year developing the entertainment business. His new role will see Rob responsible for new initiatives to grow both the service and managed services businesses. Rob will remain on the Electrosonic EMEA Leadership Team, now representing the service business.

Rob has spent twenty years in the AV industry, initially as an installation and service technician, then performing the roles of service manager, project engineer and project manager, responsible for delivering projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. Prior to joining the AV industry, Rob served in the Royal Air Force as an avionics engineer.
