Elkem ASA – Maintenance stop at Xinghuo Silicones postponed

Oslo, 14 June 2018 

The maintenance stop at Xinghuo Silicones in China, estimated to approx. four weeks from 15 June to 15 July 2018, has been postponed by one month and is expected to take place from 15 July to 15 August 2018. The stop will therefore not affect Elkem’s result for 2Q-2018.

In addition, the prices for silicones have continued to increase compared to 1Q-2018. Elkem’s result for 2Q-2018 is therefore expected to exceed the result for 1Q-2018, which was the basis for management’s guiding.
