What Do Customers Want? Survey Unveils Criteria for Successful Broadcast-Grade Video Services

Video Service Providers Choose Envivio for

Best Video Quality; Ability to Support All Multi-Screen Formats; and Reliability. All Rated As ‘Very High Differentiators’ in Customer Survey by TechValidate

South San Francisco, CALIF., November 11, 2014 – A global leader and innovator of multi-screen video software worldwide, Envivio (NASDAQ: ENVI) today announced results of a survey of its customer base conducted by TechValidate Research earlier this year, with 50 Fortune 500, tier 1 and 2 video service provider respondents from around the globe.

Highlights of the results include:

  • The majority of respondents indicated they use Envivio video processing solutions to add support for new video services, including mobile and connected TV (68 percent), or to improve their video compression efficiency (43 percent).  (Source: TechValidate).
  • When asked why they selected Envivio over competitors, 52 percent said because of its ability to support multiple profiles/codecs, and because Envivio has the best video quality (39 percent) for their live multi-screen TV, OTT, live broadcast IPTV, and live broadcast cable TV services.  (Source: TechValidate).
