Ericsson signs contract to manage and host ONE's music and entertainment portal
The service will provide all Austrian mobile network users with easy access to today's most attractive content, be it full length tracks, true tones (ring tones playing the original music), polyphonic ring tones, video clips, logos, games, or ringback tones. The services, which are marketed as the new, reshaped Ladezone portal, are integrated, hosted and managed by Ericsson.
Ericsson's white label music and download service comes with an advanced personalization engine that recommends artists, tracks and other content tailored to each consumer's individual taste, allowing customers to easily find the content that is right for them.
Jörgen Bang-Jensen, Chief Executive Officer, ONE, says: "This agreement allows us to launch attractive new services in a simple, fast and cost-efficient manner and to focus on the needs of all mobile users in Austria, whilst Ericsson takes care of the integration, hosting and day-to-day maintenance of the service."
Jan Campbell, Head of Market Unit Central Europe, Ericsson, says: "The easy-to-use services under this agreement will help ONE attract subscribers with complete entertainment packages. The Music offering is especially attractive, and with it being one of ONE's cornerstones today we are convinced it will contribute to their success in this area."
Ericsson's hosting solutions for enablers, content and applications are part of its industry-leading managed services offering. Ericsson's white label music service is live with more operators than any other such service today. Operators are offered content packages for mobile portals within five different categories: music, multiplayer gaming, video and multimedia subscriptions and downloads. Operators can offer consumers a series of portals prepackaged with content from companies such as EMI, Warner Music International, Sony BMG Bloomberg, Kamera, FashionTv, Mixipix, etc.
