Ulrik Svensson appointed acting CEO from 15th May 2002

Ulrik Svensson, at present CFO in Esselte, has been appointed acting CEO
from the 15th May when Anders Igel will leave his post as CEO.

Between the 15th May and 30th June Anders Igel will be at the disposal
of Esselte to assist Ulrik Svensson. At the same time he will be engaged
in the preparation work prior to the planned merger between Telia and
Sonera.

The board of Esselte has, as earlier announced, initiated the search for
a new CEO.
