The 9-night holiday starts in style with a night at the elegant 131 on Herbert Baker with views over Pretoria’s Jacaranda-lined avenues, then an early morning check in for The Blue Train – recent Runner up “Favourite Specialist Train Operator” at the 2012 Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers Choice Awards.   Then 27 blissful hours of absolute escapism – filled with nothing but relaxed conversation, spectacular scenery, gourmet cuisine, award-winning wines and sumptuous surroundings. By night your private lounge becomes a decadent en-suite boudoir with crisp white linen, soft lighting and butler service as the train winds its way slowly to Cape Town. Then its 4 nights in Cape Town at the Taj Hotel. Explore the Mother City, perhaps taking the cable car up Table Mountain, a cruise over to Seal island or a visit to historical Robben island.
