- Etteplan’s established position as Outotec’s engineering partner is now starting to bring in plant engineering projects.

Etteplan has secured a significant order from Outotec concerning the planning of process piping for a digestion plant to be constructed in Turkey. Eti Bakir’s new plant in Mazidagi is expected to be inaugurated by the end of 2016. The plant will be manufacturing fertilizers, sulphuric acid, metals and metallic compounds.

This is the first plant engineering project and the largest single project that Outotec has ordered from Etteplan. Etteplan is one of Outotec’s Preferred Partners in machine and equipment engineering and technical documentation.

The engineering work will be performed by Etteplan’s Kouvola office, which specializes in plant engineering. Engineers from Etteplan’s Chinese units will also be involved in the project.

- Etteplan is a reliable and competent partner, who has deep knowledge of our equipment and operating methods. Expanding our collaboration to a new area conforms to our shared strategy, says Tommi Juntunen, Director, Plant Engineering, Outotec (Finland) Oy.

- Expanding our cooperation to a new area of engineering is proof of how a long-term partnership can bring added value to both parties. This order is significant to Etteplan in a number of ways, sums up Etteplan’s Veikko Lamminen, SVP, Operations Finland.
