Metso Minerals and Etteplan widen cooperation to cover services for spare parts documentation

According to the cooperation agreement, Metso Minerals Oy in Tampere, Finland, will transfer the technical documentation operations required in its spare parts manuals to Etteplan Oyj as of September 1, 2016.

Etteplan has been in charge of Metso Minerals’ instruction documentation in Tampere for more than 10 years. Following the new agreement, Etteplan will also be responsible for the products’ spare parts documentation and documentation delivery process.

Technical documentation refers to technical information produced throughout a product’s life cycle, which is used, for example, in product development, marketing and service and maintenance. Machinery and equipment manufacturers’ requirements concerning the quality and digitalization of technical documentation have grown due to the increasing importance of companies’ service business.
