New exhibitors on board as pre-show momentum intensifies

Reigate, UK, 11 June 2013 - With two weeks to go until doors open, momentum behind European Sign Expo, the dedicated signage event co-located with FESPA 2013 (ExCeL, London, 25-27 June), is building rapidly with further industry leaders committing to a presence and supporting an innovative “Ask the Experts” feature.

Further companies including Display Manufacturing UK, Wilke Technology, Pyramid Computer GmbH, StockSigns and Linso Europe have committed to exhibiting at the event showcasing new product ranges and innovations. A number of the industry’s biggest names including RMG, NEC and Intel, are supporting the insightful “Ask the Experts” area, a highlight of the event’s free content programme. Visitors can register free until the 24th of June via www.europeansignexpo.com, or on the day (at a cost of £55).

“The fast-growing list of exhibitors boasts pioneers from the conventional signage, digital signage and out-of-home media sectors from the UK, Europe, the US and Asia. Together, the outstanding education programme and the stellar array of exhibitors will provide professionals attending this exciting new event with the opportunity to explore an assortment of visual communication channels and their opportunities all under one roof,” said Neil Felton, Managing Director, European Sign Expo. “With such a hive of activity, it’s going to be a great platform for exploring all the latest innovations, getting involved in expert-led discussions, networking and sharing new ideas.”

The latest confirmed feature on the schedule is an “Ask the Experts” area (stand S101N) hosted by The Guide to Dynamic Digital Communications. This area will be packed with experts from every segment of the industry – kiosks, videowalls, LED displays, NFC, augmented reality, audience measurement, directional audio and more. The aim is to provide best practice advice to integrators, end-users and other visitors, without the sales pitch. They can stop by the stand at their convenience, discuss what they are doing and the experts can advise and point them in the right direction. In addition, a 15 minute group introduction to digital signage will run every hour, allowing newcomers to the industry to gain a clear understanding of the full range of possibilities available and what digital signage can do for them.

“Ask the Experts” is an industry initiative, backed by some big industry names including Intel, ViewSonic, NEC, Elo Touch Solutions, RMG Networks, Zed Studio, Tridelity and InfoScreens DS. Representatives from each company will be on the stand for the duration of the show to impart as much guidance, knowledge and experience as required to help ensure project success.

Product demonstrations will also be running on the stand, including a videowall based on Christie MicroTiles, a brand new transparent screen from ViewSonic for indoor and outdoor applications, an Android-based monitor for retail settings, as well as a range of touch screens, projectors, directional sound speakers, electronic ‘whiteboards’ and how-to NFC sessions. Plus Intel will be presenting analytics and measurement examples aimed at understanding audience demographics, tendencies and responses to signage in different environments.

Exhibitor quotes

Commenting on his decision to participate in European Sign Expo, Florian Pagendarm, Business Development Manager polytouch at Pyramid Computer GmbH, an innovative manufacturer of custom, professional IT solutions, said, “The Digital Lounge (stand T24N) will provide a great platform for us to demonstrate our popular polytouch 22 and 32 CLASSIC terminals. ESE is part of one of the world’s biggest signage events, and provides us with an ideal platform to reach a wide range of vertical markets that are key for us such as tourism, transportation, retail, hospitality, banking, public sector and events.”

Mike Davidson at The Guide said, “Our objective with the “Ask the Expert” area is to see who the people are, meet them personally, find out what they need and help them to start adopting these new technologies. We want to encourage education of digital signage standards, concepts and practices, assist with lead generation between companies and ultimately contribute to the growth of the market.”

The Guide will also be launching an education package at ESE which includes a strategy planner, encyclopedia and daily newspaper. Visitors can go along to the stand (S101N) to find out more.
