EWNJ TO HONOR 33 WOMEN OF PROFESSIONAL DISTINCTION AT ‘SALUTE TO THE POLICY MAKERS’ 2014 AWARDS DINNER

EWNJ Celebrates More Than 30 Years of Service   - 

Executive Women of New Jersey (”EWNJ”) will honor 33 women of professional distinction in New Jersey at its Salute to the Policy Makers 2014 Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Chairman and CEO of Prudential Financial Inc., John Strangfeld will serve as the event’s honorary dinner chair. Barbara Corcoran, real estate mogul and a member of the “Shark Tank” on ABC-TV will serve as keynote speaker for the event, which will be held at the Hilton East Brunswick in East Brunswick, NJ.  Governor Chris Christie is serving as this year’s Distinguished Honorary Dinner Chair.

“For more than three decades, EWNJ, the premier organization for senior level women in New Jersey, has campaigned for the advancement of women to the highest  levels in international corporations, non profits, and public service firms.  This event, “Salute to the Policy Makers,” commemorates the professional accomplishments of exceptional New Jersey executives,” said EWNJ President-Elect, Maureen Schneider, MSN, MBA, Senior Vice President of Clinical Development and Chief Nurse Officer of Somerset Medical Center. “It is truly an honor to bear witness to this year’s celebration – as we pay tribute to these superb women while  supporting a most deserving cause.” 

Proceeds from the Salute to the Policy Makers awards dinner are used to fund scholarships for women enrolled in graduate programs in New Jersey’s institutions of higher learning as well as other programs to advance women.  Since the scholarship program’s inception in 1986, Salute Dinner funds have provided over $1,200,000 in scholarships to more than 400 outstanding New Jersey women.
