At the 2015 Master Chefs of Great Britain lunch, held on 19 October at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh, the Association awarded a Peter Jukes Memorial Fellowship to Neil Roseweir, development chef at Falcon Foodservice Equipment.

Peter Jukes Memorial Fellowships are rarely awarded, and when they are, they tend to go to restaurant chefs.  Judges said: “This award is given to chefs who have demonstrated their ability to remain at the very top of their profession, whether that be in the restaurant world or the hospitality industry as a whole.”

Neil has been with Falcon for 24 years, before which he worked as a chef in just about every sector of the industry, including hotels, restaurants, contract catering, in-flight catering and food production.

“Neil is a great ambassador for our company,” says Lawrence Hughes, sales director of Falcon.  “He’s well known in the foodservice industry and genuinely well loved, too.  He’s always there to offer advice and guidance, giving his time to help others.

“It’s wonderful that he has been awarded such a prestigious accolade, the more so since it is chosen by his fellow chefs.  Everyone at Falcon is proud of him and we are all absolutely delighted on his behalf.”

Talking about his award, Neil added: “I am delighted to be given this award. It was a real surprise when my name was announced and I feel very honoured to receive the Fellowship. I love being a chef, spending time in the kitchen and passing on my knowledge and passion to other chefs and I’m proud that this has been recognised by my peers.”
