Adi Developments ‘tops off’ Mod’rn condominium project 

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO (AUGUST 8, 2014) To take an idea from concept to execution requires amongst many things solid partnerships and that was the focus as Burlington’s newest condominium development took more step towards completion.

For Adi Developments, the concept was to bring high-end, high-design living to Burlington, so two years ago they set out to bring The Mod’rn, a four-storey contemporary mid-rise condominium project on Guelph Line, to the area.

Adi Developments recently celebrated a milestone with its partners and investors as construction of the fourth and final floor of the building was completed. The ‘topping off’ brought together partners such as FDS Broker Services, Fortress Real Developments and Cameron Stephens Mortgage Capital to get a tour of the building and its 78 units, including an opportunity to go on the roof to take in the view.

Through the distribution of the Fortress Real Capital Syndicated Mortgage investment by FDS Broker Services, Adi was able to raise the funds necessary to move The Mod’rn project from conception to execution. Investors received outstanding annualized returns on their money and once again showed syndicated mortgages are a critical piece of the financial pie that enables developers, like Adi, to turn their ideas into bricks and mortar.

Adi’s concept was well received, as the project was 95% sold out on opening weekend, allowing for zoning approvals and construction financing to be put in place and shovels were in the ground by the end of 2013. The first residents are expected to move in next spring.

“There’s an appetite for great design, great location and great product overall in Burlington,” said Tariq Adi. “Burlington residents deserve the same options as Toronto residents from a quality and design standpoint.”

Along the way, The Mod’rn was lauded with Project of the Year from the Hamilton-Halton Home Builders’ Association and nominated in the Most Outstanding Midrise category by the Ontario Home Builders’ Association, validating the original concept of the Adi brothers.

Between great tasting food and breathtaking views of Burlington, guests heard from project partners about why they partnered with Adi Developments on this journey from conception through to completion.
