Market-leading warranty on Manitowoc’s new NEO Series from FEM keeps crystal clear ice close to hand during busy periods

Ice machines are essential pieces of back-bar kit in pubs, clubs and other catering venues. During busy periods ice machines work constantly to keep up with demand, so they need to be reliable and up to the job. Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM) now supplies Manitowoc’s new NEO Series undercounter icemakers which provide new levels in performance, intelligence and convenience to ensure drinks can be served with mountains of ice even when there’s a rush at the bar.

The new NEO Series icemakers offer an all-in-one solution and low profile design ideal for smaller establishments where space is limited and economy of operation essential. The space-saving front-breathing ventilation allows the machines to be installed in the tightest of spaces, with no side clearance required, making them perfect for back-bar use.

Enhanced production capacities make NEO the new standard in undercounter ice machines. The NEO series delivers up to 18kg more ice in 24-hours than previous models, but retains the same compact footprint. The NEO series also offers energy savings of at least 10% and reducing water consumption by at least 25%.

The NEO machines are also robust, reliable and simple to maintain. The removable ice storage bin and well-designed modular construction make the NEO ice machines easier and faster to service, reducing downtime.

The storage bin features an ‘EZ Glide’ slide-up-and-in, angled door, which tucks under the ice machine’s top for easy access to the ice. The new ergonomic scoop design features full comfort grip handle and can be stored just inside the lid.

The smallest U-140 NEO model produces up to 59kg of ice a day and can store up to 40.82kg at any one time. At the other end of the scale is the large U-310 model producing up to 145kg and holding 45.36kg. Regular (29mm x 29mm x 22mm), dice (22mm x 22mm x 22mm) and half dice (29mm x 10mm x 22mm) cube sizes are available.

A delay feature allows the operator to set a 4, 12 or 24 hour delay before the machine automatically resumes ice production. So there is no need to make ice on days when the venue is closed or only open for a limited time.

Stainless-steel, fingerprint-proof exterior construction and AlphaSan moulded into key internal components, means the machine needs less cleaning and looks good front-of-house. A patented built-in self-cleaning system keeps the inside hygienic and in good working order. The pop-out air filter protects against fluff, grease and dust build-up and is dishwasher safe.

Easy to read display and servicing buttons give on-the-spot feedback from the machine. The full bin indicator shows the operator at a glance that there is plenty of ice available without needing to open the bin to check.

Luminice Growth Inhibitor is available as an accessory which creates active air that passes over all exposed food-zone components to inhibit the growth of yeast, bacteria and other common micro-organisms.

FEM supply the Manitowoc NEO Series with the market’s leading ice maker warranty: five years parts and labour on the evaporator, plus five years parts and three years labour on the compressor, plus three years parts and labour on all other components.
