Press Release, 27 September 2010 at 10 CET – Enics President and CEO Reijo Itkonen will retire from his working life in summer 2011. The Enics Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Dirk Zimanky to succeed Reijo as the new President and CEO of the company starting 1 October 2010. Reijo will support Dirk in the handover and other strategic projects until summer 2011.

Dirk Zimanky, being one of the co-founders of Enics, has spent his entire business life within the EMS Industry. For the last 6 years he has successfully led Customer Relationship Management in Enics. Before Enics he held different leading positions in Elcoteq SE and Stephan Elektronik GmbH.

“I am very happy about the support of our Board towards Enics strategy and trust for our organization to continue the remarkable achievements we have reached during these few years together with our customers. The appointment of Dirk is the best example of that trust and secures a very smooth transition of my responsibilities. Dirk has been one of the main architects of our strategy, values and customer relations since the beginning, and even before. It is much easier for me to concentrate on other important issues in my personal life when I know that Dirk and the other EMT members are continuing the work I have enjoyed so much. “, says Reijo Itkonen.

Dirk Zimanky continues: “It is a great opportunity that I have been entrusted with and I like to thank our Board and Reijo for their full support. Under Reijo’s leadership we have developed into one of the leading players in our field, valued by our customers and respected by our competitors. The strategy we pursue is serving us very well and we will continue to deepen our industrial and medical focus even more. At the same time I will put additional emphasis on enhancing our competitiveness and strong customer focus.  We have an excellent base, by our customers, suppliers and our people, to make our vision come true.”

“Ahlström Capital, as an industrial private equity owner, has a long-term view on Enics and is fully committed to support the management in achieving their growth targets. I wish to express our warmest thanks to Reijo. We appreciate the good work he has done in bringing Enics from a start-up company to the notable player of the industry which it is today. At the same time we welcome Dirk to his new position at the helm of the company and look forward to work with him. We wish Dirk and his team all the best to continue the success of Enics”, states Mr. Panu Routila, President and CEO of Ahlström Capital and the Chairman of the Enics Board of Directors.

Enics is one of the leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies in the industrial and medical electronics field and provides end-to-end solutions consisting of design-support, NPI, manufacturing, supply chain management and after-sales
services for the whole lifecycle of its customers' products. More information on the company is available at

Enics is a young company, founded in 2004. But our competence and drive have been created over several decades before that. Our roots are in big industrial corporations like ABB and Bombardier, in electronics companies like Elcoteq and Flextronics. From those roots Enics was born as a third generation company. As a third generation company, we use our product knowledge to provide a much deeper service to our customers. Their products are complex and the product life cycles are considerably long. They understand that they cannot manage this complexity in so many market segments over long periods of service needed. This is where we provide a valuable partnership. And that is why we call Enics a third generation EMS company with a clear focus on industrial and medical business.
